My vehicle was in the shop for 2 months without any notice on the progress of the repairs. The first update I received was the survey. I reached out many times to get ran in circles to different people only to be told I would be receiving a call back. I never received a call. My fleet service also had the same experience trying to reach anybody about progress. Bad service.

I have never had a better buying experience than I did at Knapp Chevrolet. Ron Wiseman met me at the door and introduced me to Kevin Quinteros. I told them I did not want to spend a bunch of time at the dealership. They agreed. While Kevin and I took the truck out for a quick test drive, Ron got the figures together. I was there maybe 45 minutes. The truck sold itself, so the only question was the deal. I am pleased to report the price, trade in, and interest rate were outstanding. Asked them to please get the paperwork around and I would pick the truck up tomorrow on my way home from work. Took about 30 minutes that day and everything was done. Met Mr. Knapp (4th generation). Also used Car Pro (Thanks Michael Berry) for the first time, and all the pieces fell into place perfectly. Ric Volk. 05/29/2025.

I stayed at the dealership while my car was being serviced. My car was finished for over 30 minutes and no one told me, I saw it sitting there and had to go to the counter to ask if my car was done, which it was. Then, 30 minutes after I left, I got a text from my service rep that my car was almost done and they were still working on it. I told him that I had already left and checked out with a different person. Clearly the system is disorganized as no one was keeping track of my car to tell me it was done, and even after I left they thought it was still there.

Vince De John Jr, my service advisor, who has been on the job about a year after having worked as a service technician at Knapp Chevrolet for 40 or more years, was incredibly helpful. I had a new door handle installed on my 2012 Silverado. When I picked it up, I noticed it was not seated properly and asked Vince about it. He said it looked as though it needed to be adjusted and asked me to wait in the waiting room while he drove the truck back to the service area. About 45 minutes later, he returned hot and sweaty and said it looked right now. I asked why he was sweating so much. He said that the younger technician, who installed the door handle failed to notice it was not the right one for the front door and only works on the rear door. Vince replaced the door handle himself and it looks and works great. I have been a loyal Knapp customer for many years and have yet to see a Service Advisor actually repair anything themselves. Vince can not only identify an issue (since he has repaired all makes and models for many years), but can also fix it, which must be an incredible asset for Knapp or anyone in his new profession. Vince was also extremely personable with such a great attitude that I will continue to work with him exclusively.

Roger was able to get my vehicle in fairly quick. A diagnostic charge was performed on my battery. It passed all the tests even though at times it was hard to start and completely died once and needed a jump start. I didn't have to wait very long and was taken care of sooner than expected.

I scheduled a service appointment for my 2025 equinox EV (manual says to do this every 7500 miles). I took a day off of work to be able to support this appointment. I brought the vehicle in at it's scheduled time and was told it would take an hour to an hour and a half to complete, so I decided to wait in the waiting area. An hour and a half later I was told the service was completed so I went to the service counter to pay the invoice. After paying I noticed that my bill was for only tire rotation and nothing was mentioned on it about the routine maintenance checks I thought I brought it in for. I talked to the service manager about this and he said tire rotation is basically the majority of what is done and if there is any problems with any fluids being low the car will let me know with a warning message. I basically wasted a day off to pay Knapp $45 to rotate my tires. They did not perform the maintenance checks I thought they were supposed to do. I am trying to follow the manual's maintenance recommendations and the dealership did not do what I expected. I can rotate my own tires in my driveway faster and cheaper than what I paid. And I blew a day off from work for it which doesn't help me feel any better about the matter.

Came in to look at the Chevy Trax I saw online which was in red. Sadly it was sold by time I got there but my salesman Sam showed me same one but in white. I actually ending up loving it. I was not made aware that now Knapp charges a rather hefty sum to use a credit card so I wasn’t pleased about that since I had to return later with my debit card. It took about 10 days to receive the part but the charges didn’t give details about why the labor was so high for changing out a brake module.

From my initial inquiry about a particular vehicle, I was blown away by the communication and how quickly we were able to progress towards striking a deal. Being that I was shopping from Austin and the dealership is in Houston, that alone could have created issues. However, my salesperson, Sam Marin, did an outstanding job of making things happen. I think from our first conversation to finalizing the deal took all of only a few hours. When I went to pick up the car two days later, everything was perfect! I explained that this was my second visit regarding my transmission and informed Vince that my transmission had been replaced (At a different shop) less than two years prior. I also provided him with a detailed account of the issues I was experiencing. However, he did not convey to the technician that it was a replacement transmission. I was later informed over the phone that I would require a new transmission due to dirty fluid with possible metal shavings. I declined additional services and proceeded to collect the car. Upon pickup, I had to request proof of the inspection, as it was not offered. After reviewing the inspection document, I noted that the transmission fluid passed with a 100% rating, yet I was told it was burned and that high mileage "might" be the issue, according to a memo on the receipt. Therefore, the inspection sheet does not align with the information I was given, nor did Vince relay the correct information to the technician. The vehicle itself has 117,000 miles on a 2016 model, but the replacement transmission had less than 50,000 miles. For them to attribute the issue to high mileage suggests they were misinformed about my car. I feel as though I paid $200 without receiving adequate service.

No. I went there to get an oil change thinking I was going to get an oil change for $25 plus tax. Maybe $30 plus tax. There was a fee for $75 just for parts. Who in the world is going to pay $75 for some parts just to get a $25 service? I made sure they put my car down so fast and I left for Take 5 Oil Change. I wasn’t paying y’all $115 when I booked a service from an ad for a discounted oil change and saw no hidden part fees in the adY’all wasn’t getting a single cent.

I asked about getting my car battery tested but was told this costs over $200, so I didn't have it done. I can get my battery tested free at an auto parts store, and will get my next battery there. You are losing business on battery replacements by not offering a free battery test. So I only had an oil change, tire rotation and air filter replacement. I had to pay a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. I understand this is illegal in Texas, so shame on you. I should report this to authorities. When I got home I found that my Progressive Insurance tracking device was not plugged in, I found it in a door pocket. The technician should have replaced it when he finished the job. In sum, my experience means I will go elsewhere the next time I need auto service.

Dropped truck off at 10:00 am. After waiting until 4:30 pm, I called and was told my truck was ready. 6.5 hours later. No call from Knapp. Truck was brought in for recall and tire balancing. The tires were not rotated and the air pressure not checked/brought to recommended levels. What is the point of paying for 4-wheel balancing if the tires need rotating? When I went to pick up my truck. I stood at the service advisor’s desk waiting to be helped, although there were 4 other attendants doing nothing. When she finally spoke to me, I was told to go to the cashier counter. If customer service is important enough for Knapp to send two emails and a text, then perhaps Knapp should invest in training their service advisors in better customer service.
